Aloha! Welcome to my Maui photography portfolio and Tour Information Page!
My name is Douglas Warne and I am located on the beautiful Island of Maui in the Hawaiian Islands. Like you, I'm passionate about Maui and the endless opportunities it offers visiting photographers. I occasionally lead small private photo expeditions here on the Island of Maui. There are just a few engagements available each year due to limited windows of access and the sensitivity of some of the areas we go into. Some dates are available for March, April, May 2013 for individuals or small groups of 6-8 people. Single day and multi-day bookings are available.
I also provide an exceptional Hana Road Experience -- a day trip into the Hana region with a customized itinerary to suit your needs. Call me last minute and lets go to Hana tomorrow! Hana is always an adventure. It would be my pleasure to share some of Maui's hidden secrets with you at a leisurely pace.
A highly experienced guide, I've been leading tours on Maui since 1994. If you need someone who has done the work, put in the hours -- the years -- and really knows the island and their craft, consider my services. Literally thousands of people have enjoyed a singular and unique vision of Maui -- whether through my capacity as a commercial land tour guide, through my virtual guides, or as a private personal guide and photographer.
With experience that includes two years of service with the best of the large commercial land tour operations here on Maui (clientele from the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons, Norwegian Cruise Lines. Celebrity Cruise Lines, Holland America Lines, and Princess Cruise Lines), you can be assured of an itinerary that works, as well as adapts, to your needs and the changing environment. Letters of personal commendation from both Norwegian Cruise Lines and Princess Cruise Lines can be provided.

My résumé also includes the writing and recording of a best selling self-guided audio tour on CD -- 'Secrets of the Road to Hana, Maui and How to Find Them CD Audio Tour' that guides visitors along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Hawaiian islands. The guide is currently in its fifth edition with over 250,000 copies in print. Approximately 750,000 people have used the guide, first authored in 1994. Update: Latest version released September 15, 2012!

As the saying goes -- a picture speaks a thousand words. My photos, for the most part, were shot with a high-end fixed lens 'pro-sumer' point-and-shoot (2004 Sony DSC-F828 with 28-200mm Zeiss glass). It's a good camera and great lens but I'd love to upgrade. If you have an extra Nikon D3 or D4 laying around (or anything interesting), lets do a trade ;) -- you can have my guide and concierge services for a full week or for multiple visits! Last and probably as important as anything, I love what I do and am absolutely passionate about it.
Also available for location scout work for movies and photo shoots on the Island of Maui. (Day rates apply.) Can provide all releases as needed working in conjunction with the Maui County Film Commissioner. I have ten years experience as a commercial photo stylist in L.A. and S.F. Maui has been my home since 1991.
All pictures are available for purchase in various size prints through this site including digital download for print and web media. All images are rights managed. If you are considering an art print, I highly recommend the hot new metallic prints! My images will print up to about 16X24 with jewel like resolution.
